LetterWP is a newsletter plugin for WordPress. It’s made by Cuong Tran, under the Owldraft brand.
Why we built it
Writers on WordPress kept ending up with two homes. Their site had the archive and the search traffic, and Substack had their readers. The readers are the part that matters, and they were living on someone else’s platform.
LetterWP puts the newsletter back inside the site. Your subscribers are rows in your own WordPress database. Emails go out through your own Resend account, from your own domain. We never hold your list, and we take no cut of what you earn.
It does one job: it gets your posts to your readers, and it keeps those readers yours. Read the full story.
Who we are
Cuong Tran has built for WordPress since 2013, for more than 13,000 customers. That includes The Fox, a theme for magazines, news sites and blogs, and Owldraft’s free themes on WordPress.org, such as Stoat.
Every support email goes to him, and he answers it himself. Write to [email protected], or find him on X.
Owldraft
Owldraft makes tools for independent publishers on WordPress: writers, newsletters and small newsrooms. LetterWP is its first plugin.
